FIne Wood Working
Editorial, Print
The goal for this project was to revamp an existing brand, and give them a new, more relevant brand identity. I chose to re-brand Fine Woodworking, A magazine that focuses on tips and advice about different types of skills and tools related to the craft. I got rid of all the clutter in their magazine, while giving it a more modern look, that allows the brand to relate to new generation of wood workers, as well as staying connected to the old. The color scheme for the magazine is meant to reflect nature, and the natural hues of wood. The goal was to also break beyond just tips and advice for projects, but to also inspire people to either pick up woodworking, or try something new. This lead me to have the cover story be more editorial, opposed to solely information based. I believe that the changes made to the brand will increase sales and reach a larger target market.
